F is for....

Fibery Frolics!

Yes I know I've done F, but being a fibre fiend I knew F would be never-ending!

I dyed 800g last week! Ok only 600g to show you as I only took photos of the top two for Fiber Friday, last weeks theme was Rainforest and I dyed these top two with that in mind!

I sold all but these last 2 pink Shetland at the Guild on Saturday!

So these will be uploaded to etsy later!

I just finished spinning this last week. This is a handspun wool/silk/angora blend which was custom dyed for me by Freyalyn who I met at Woolfest last year! I want to knit it into something, which is why one skein is already balled, I have been swatching, unfortunately I thought I was going to do a Swiss Cheese scarf, but (doh) I don't have enough, I really need double this. I have 50g, 200m which is enough to make some kind of lace pattern, I just want something simple, classic, but quirky!

F is for lots of lovely words that I could really do with using right now, one in particular!! However Jo, what I need to say here is how lovely all those fat plaits of fleece look! And the yarn sounds and looks quite delicious!

Mmmm, what beautiful braids! You never fail to produce the loveliest.
XOXOX

oh yum, that yarn! what pretty colours, I'm trying to think of some lace pattern that's simple, classic, yet quirky... You may just have to think/design one up!

The colours you come up with never fail to amaze me...

Have you seen Knitspot's That Little Scarf? Not exactly quirky but it might get your creative juices flowing. It also calls for 300 yds but one could make it narrower. Or, how about the Monkey sock pattern as a neck warmer?

Perhaps by now you've come up with something.

beautiful!

I particularly like the soft subtle colours in the middle one - with the lilacs and grey :-)

Stunning! Any chance you'll be in London the first week of May? (with or without roving!?)

Jo I am enjoying your pictures of the alphabet. It is fun to see what words associate for other people. And your fibers are fun to look at. Eye candy.
