Finally the planets aligned enough to allow me to wrestle a warp onto the loom. It was a bit like putting tights on an octopus....but we're weaving!
Handyed merino/alpaca warp
Handspun merino/angora weft
I'm hoping for a scarf, it depends on its drapability when it comes off...who knows! You learn as you go!

It looks beautiful. You've just given me an idea for this cashmere/silk......
Don't be disappointed when you first cut it off the loom, mine comes off looking like airy board and after a quick soak is transformed into something totally different.
Very pretty abd remember that once you've wrestled the octopus you're half way done.
Nice! I love the colors!
Doesn't it make you wonder why people always say you can't put handspun on as a warp?
: )
Lovely looking piece of work.
I look forward to seeing the finished item.
Very pretty -- and it looks like it will be very soft. Ditto to what Caroline said -- until you've finished the fabric by washing, steaming or whatever, you don't really know what you have. It's a lot like knitting a fine lace shawl, finishing/blocking makes all the difference in the world!
Oooooooohhhhhhhh, Jo! What a Beauty! Are you just loving the weaving? The colours, the fibre, all breathtaking.
Huh? 'people always say you can't put handspun on as a warp'? huh.
I've certainly seen different :^)
XOXOXOXOX
Fantastic! This is looking really great.
