Halfway there!
Ok so I've been playing around with setting up links, and I've read all the blurb, and have now managed to add my photo to my profile, but I'm still struggling with the Socktoberfest link and button....I can do the link but not the button, and since there are socks waiting to be knitted and I've got a huge backlog of flickr photos to upload and link aswell....normal service will be resumed as soon as possible!

Hi, Jo--I read your question on someone else's blog about shortrow heels--they're the only kind I do anymore. It's not hard; the only trick is avoiding holes. If you double wrap the stitches, that takes care of the problem. What I like best about it is that you don't have to have any extra tools with you to start the heels. It's also easier to do toe-up socks with a short row heel (which I love). Hope you have fun and make some wonderful socks!
