There has been quite alot going on since my last post. I collected the posters and flyers for Knitaround Hastings last Friday. Now its just getting them all out and about, as without publicity no-one will turn up.
What's it all about, I hear you cry? I wanted to do something for National Knitting Week (14th-21st Oct) Its a giant circular knit, I will be casting on 2000 stitches over the next 2 weeks ready, and the plan is for a large group of knitters to turn up and help knit, all knitters will pay £1 entry and we will be raising money for the Sara Lee Trust , who provide complementary therapy to people with cancer.(http://www.saraleetrust.org/).
I spent Saturday afternoom putting posters up in the neighbouring town of Battle. Famous for its links to the Battle of Hastings!.This is also home to one of the best local wool shops.
Battle Wool shop sells a good range of wool to suit all budgets!
As you can see I also managed to work my first short row heel, this is my main project at the moment as I have a sweater waiting for blocking but this is a major work of art, as you will see once I start blocking and get some photos posted too!
I have been desperate to be spinning, especially as I will be demonstrating for the 1066 Spinners as part of Hastings week on the 8th October.
