Cables
Both the above cable samples were knitted from the book Vogue Knitting Stitchionary, Cables book, a most impressive book if you are a cables fan!
Candle Tree
Candle Tree is in Barbara Walkers Treasury of Knitting Patterns, one day I hope to add both of these books to my library, but thanks to college and my tutor's extensive library for now I can just borrow them!

I really must get on and do my homework for this month ...
It is fun playing with cables and Barbara Walker sure has some lovely ones - lucky you haveing access to some to borrow!!
That Candle Tree is too cool! :0)
I'm going to send you a picture of an afghan my Mom made for me. It's made up up "squares" and each one is differant. If you don't see a picture in a few days let me know!
cable lover here! reminds me I need to get my copy of that book back off my mum ..
I love the Candle Tree especially .. beautiful :-)
Ooh, they're all beautiful and beautifully knit, Jo.
I love our library system also!
The candletree is wonderful. My aunt tells me that she has bequeathed me one of Barbara Walker's books in her will; I do hope that I don't get it for a long time to come, though...

I'm thinking that cables will be the must knit of the year (as lace was last year). I'm feeling a very strong pull to putting my needles to cabling, especially after seeing the Candle Tree.
It'll be fun seeing how you manage to stay in the knitting/fiber theme for the entire ABCs.
I love cables! You've got my fingers itching to cast on...
Lovely looking cables and great books too. Harmony do a cable book aswell which is pretty impressive.
those cables are lovely, I would love the Vogue Stitchionary with cables in!
