Cables

Both the above cable samples were knitted from the book Vogue Knitting Stitchionary, Cables book, a most impressive book if you are a cables fan!

Candle Tree
Candle Tree is in Barbara Walkers Treasury of Knitting Patterns, one day I hope to add both of these books to my library, but thanks to college and my tutor's extensive library for now I can just borrow them!

I'm going to send you a picture of an afghan my Mom made for me. It's made up up "squares" and each one is differant. If you don't see a picture in a few days let me know!

The candletree is wonderful. My aunt tells me that she has bequeathed me one of Barbara Walker's books in her will; I do hope that I don't get it for a long time to come, though...

I'm thinking that cables will be the must knit of the year (as lace was last year). I'm feeling a very strong pull to putting my needles to cabling, especially after seeing the Candle Tree.

It'll be fun seeing how you manage to stay in the knitting/fiber theme for the entire ABCs.
